CRICUT CARDS

This  card was made using the Cricut Animal Kingdom cartridge.

An A4 card was scored in half, then one side scored in half again to make the easel  shape.  A piece of patterned paper was cut slightly smaller than an A5 size, and a Martha Stewart Blossom Deep Edge Punch (Product Code: M42-70032) was used to create a lacy border.  A piece of ribbon was wrapped round the patterned paper about an inch up from the border.  This was then mounted onto an A5 piece of AC PLAIN CARDSTOCK – POMEGRANATE (Product Code: AC71025).

A 5″ elephant was cut from AC PLAIN CARDSTOCK – BLUSH (Product Code: AC71014) using Cricut Animal Kingdom Cartridge (template available on request).  This was then shaded using Tim Holtz® Distress Ink Pads – TATTERED ROSE (Product Code: TIM20240).  Layers were cut from the cartridge to make the tusks and the elephants toes, these were covered with Glossy Accents ( Product Code: GAC/17042).
To make the headdress cut a 2″ circle from the POMEGRANTE card and cut into quarters to make a wedge shape.  The blanket was hand cut using the elephant’s back as a template.  Sequins and beads were sewn onto these and a blue jewel was placed in the centre of the headdress.  A 2″ banner was cut from the POMEGRANTE card using Cricut Birthday Bash cartridge,  the phrase was cut in the BLUSH card (templates available on request).  The elephant was mounted onto the front of the card using 3d foam pads Foam Square Pads 2mm x 5mm x 5mm (Product Code: 4009941).

Finally an A5 piece of decorative paper was cut to compliment the paper on the front of the card, and mounted onto the base.  A 3d embellisment was then used as a stopper for the easel.
